Cafe de l'Esplanade - Paris, France: Based on a suggestion from the concierge of the Hotel Plaza Athenee, we visited Cafe de l'Esplanade, located in the 7th arrondissement, about a twenty minute walk from the hotel, for a late breakfast one morning.

To our delight, the café served up a great breakfast as well as superior service. The café was much more of full-scale restaurant but that did not take away from the experience at all.

Like most cafés in Paris, they have seating both inside and out. What sets them apart is they have more of an American breakfast on their menu than most of the cafés in Paris do.

It was on the expensive side (again like most of the restaurants in Paris) but the quiet atmosphere, good service and good food made it one of my favorite places from breakfast in Paris.

I checked out their lunch menu. It had a nice selection of soups, salads, sandwiches as well as the traditional lunch entrées. I'll be sure to try Café de l'Esplanade for lunch next time I am in Paris.
