A boutique hotel, the Intercontinental Marceau has a chic and trendy décor by Bruno Borrione. We were warmly welcomed by the bellman and the front desk staff. Check-in was a breeze and we were quickly shown to our room.

Our room was small, but considering the fact that this is Paris, you surely can’t expect more. However, our room was very comfortable and equipped with all modern amenities like an iPod docking station, DVD player, flat screen television, free Wi-Fi, safe, mini bar and a coffee maker. The bathroom had a rain shower and bathrobes were present.

Luckily we had a room facing Avenue Marceau which allowed us to keep the curtains open and the daylight flood the room.

The Intercontinental Paris also offers a restaurant, bar, lounge and an outdoor terrace in a beautiful French setting for guests. For breakfast, the restaurant serves continental cuisine while for lunch and dinner, it serves international gourmet cuisine. A concierge, 24 hour business center and a small fitness center are the other facilities available at this hotel.

Overall, the entire staff at the Intercontinental Paris, right from the bellmen and front desk staff to the concierge and housekeeping were all warm, friendly and welcoming. Had I not known it was an InterContinental hotel, I would have surely thought I was in a small independent luxury hotel. Based on price, location, service and overall experience, the Intercontinental Marceau gets a rating of Bombastic from us.
