Worth the Drive from Palermo

Da Sariddu Mondello, Italy: When we visited Mondello, which is a beach town just outside of Palermo, we wanted to have lunch at a place that served great seafood. We came across Da Sariddu, a tiny family run restaurant with only a handful of tables. As we've come to learn, it's cozy places like this that usually end up having fantastic food and dining choices.

The casual atmosphere of the restaurant is inviting, and we were immediately seated by our server as soon as we got in. We ordered clams and mussels for appetizers, which tasted like they were only caught a few minutes before our order. They were that fresh!

For our main course, we ordered lobster spaghetti (my favorite) and seafood pasta, which did not disappoint. They were by far one of the best I've tasted in town, and that means a lot. They also had a decent wine list where we were able to choose good wine to go with our seafood lunch.

This small, casual family-run restaurant serves excellent food, and though it's quite far from the heart of Palermo, it's definitely worth the drive. Truly Bombastic!
