Hotel Danieli - Venice, Italy - Beautiful but not my taste. The Hotel Danieli is a beautiful hotel but for me it is too dark, too small, and too classical. The location is great other than the fact they are so close to the canal that it flooded every morning. There is just something odd about having to walk on planks through the lobby to get to your room or having the front desk employees running around in knee high galoshes. Hotel Danieli has a charm of it's own but in my opinion, it just does not come close to the experience of the Westin Europa.
