Brasserie Maxie's - Amsterdam, Netherlands
Perfect for an afternoon break
Restaurant Category : French
Brasserie Maxie's - Amsterdam, Netherlands: Located on Pieter Cornelisz (P.C.) Hooftstraat (Amsterdam's mini Fifth Avenue), located in the Museum Quarter neighborhood, by the high-end stores (Chanel, Gucci, Hermés, Louis Vuitton, Chopard, Cartier, Mont Blanc and Henckels) as well as several small boutiques, sits Brasserie Maxie's.
With seating both inside and outside, Brasserie Maxie's is a great place to sit with a nice glass of wine to do some people watching outside or to relax inside in it's beautifully decorated restaurant for lunch or pre-dinner drink.

The wine menu is a not extensive but the starter and dinner menu and the exceptional service more than makes up for that.
Is this a place I would book for an evening out? No. However, for an afternoon break from the heavy duty shopping (or window-shopping) or at the end of the day, the atmosphere and service make it the perfect place to unwind.

Dr, and Mrs. Henri Wennekers from Calgary, Alberta, Canada
April 13, 2010
During our visit in Amsterdam over the ChristmasHoliday in 2009, we had the pleasure of having lunch and dinner frequently. The food was good and great wine and we liked the ambience. The service was great and waiters were friendly and helpful. One of them even came running after us in the ice-cold night to bring the Burberry Scarf that my husband had forgotten on his chair.
Nothing but praise for this establishment and we are looking forward to our next visit this coming winter.
It would be helpful to have a valid phonenumber for the Restaurant, when trying to contact it we only got a Fax-phone-noise.
With kind regards,
Mrs. Fleur Wennekers.
