First Impression/Lobby: Chic, trendy and classy, the ultimate in five-star service and luxury. From the moment I arrived at the hotel, I knew I was somewhere special. Handsomely dressed doormen and bellman greeted me, quickly secured my luggage and escorted me into the trendy lobby. To the right was the concierge desk; fully staffed just waiting to answer questions, to the left the reception counter, it too staffed and prepared to welcome me to The Chedi.

The lobby was a chic and stylish as it was trendy. Its understated beauty seemed to give me a warm welcome all its own.

Reception: Fast and efficiently, the reception staff warmly welcomed me and within just a few minutes the registration was completed and I whisked off to my suite.

The Chedi Club Suite: Elegant and classy, trendy and chic, the Chedi Club Suite was an amazing space. The hues of browns and the minimalist design made it warm and inviting.

The living room area was a little smaller than I expected for a suite, but its beauty more than made up for it. The bedroom, with its large, king-sized bed was not only perfectly sized, but stunning as well.

The bathroom, with its huge sunken terrazzo bathtub as its centerpiece, had two sinks, private lavatories and standalone shower cabin almost as over-sized as the bathtub. The finest robes, slippers and ammenities completed this dazzling space.

Room Service: Available 24 hours a day, the room service offered a wide array of both Arabian and International dishes. Service was always timely, the food perfectly prepared and the presentation, as you would expect from the Chedi, perfect, slightly understated but strikingly memorable.

Pools: The Chedi has two pools, one for adults, one for children plus a private beach. The adult pool is steps away from the beach. The other is far enough way to make the adult pool a sanctuary onto itself.

Restaurants: The Chedi Hotel has all your dining needs covered with an array of restaurants, cuisines and styles to choose from. The main restaurant, The Restaurant allows you to order from any or all of its four kitchens. Arabic, Mediterranean, Asian and Indian cuisine are your options in this very trendy restaurant. It also offers both indoor and outdoor seating,
The Arabian Courtyard serves authentic Arabic dishes and traditional water pipes. It is open only for dinner in the winter.

The Beach Restaurant specializes in seafood and overlooks the Gulf of Oman

The Lobby Lounge is perfect for cocktails before or after dinner.

The Chedi Poolside Cabana serves light meals and refreshments for lunch and larger specialty dishes for dinner,
