From a tiny, nondescript fishing village, Marbella, Spain has impressively evolved into a popular leisure resort on the Mediterranean belt. Apart from spotting the rich and famous lounging on its pristine beaches, tourists can admire the coastal town’s breathtaking boulevards, its sprawling tropical parks and narrow by lanes that pay a fitting tribute to the Andalusian legacy. The cosmopolitan getaway is also one of the most celebrated sports port in the continent and sighting opulent yachts at plush harbors is no big deal here. The old, winding streets of Marbella are perfect for digging into tapas, discovering little known albeit interesting art galleries and visiting museums, which have shops selling lovely regional artifacts.
