St. Regis Hotel - Bangkok, Thailand: The St. Regis hotel in Bangkok is situated on Rajadamri Road in the heart of Bangkok. The prime location of this hotel ensures that the best restaurants and boutiques in the city are easily accessible. The famous Lumpini Park is just a short stroll from the hotel. Moreover, the Suvarnabhumi International Airport is just 35 minutes away.

The St. Regis Bangkok offers 227 guest rooms with lovely views of nearby parks and the Bangkok skyline. The signature St. Regis Butler Service is available round the clock.

First Impression/Lobby: The lobby of this gorgeous hotel was located on the first floor and it was everything we wanted it to be, spacious, gorgeous and very chic yet very comfortable. The reception desk was located on another floor high up, so up the elevator we went.

Reception: We honestly felt like the staff at this hotel were very happy to receive us. It was an honest to goodness heartfelt welcome.

The Room: Our Grand Deluxe Room was spacious and had a contemporary Thai décor in a brown and cream color scheme. The grand windows offered views of the striking Bangkok skyline. Subtle Thai art, polished wooden flooring and plush furnishings gave an elegant touch to the room. A plush 2 seat sofa, 42” LCD television and an elegant writing desk were the other highlights. Sliding wooden doors led to a spacious bathroom with twin marble sinks, a deep soaking tub and a separate marble shower.

Room Service: We did not get a chance to make use of this Bangkok luxury hotel’s room service.

Housekeeping: Housekeeping was to keep it simple, truly exceptional.

Concierge: The multilingual concierge team offered great dining recommendations. They were quick to answer the phone. Also, they promptly called us back to confirm after making our dinner reservations.

Restaurant: The Decanter serves vintage wines along with canapés and a cheese board in an elegant and refined space. A highly knowledgeable sommelier selects wines from a huge 300 bin cellar. Not looking for wine? The St. Regis Bar serves classic cocktails, champagne and premium spirits along with light fare in an intimate yet elegant atmosphere. This bar offers breathtaking views from its floor-to-ceiling windows. Viu is located on the 12th floor and serves international cuisine in a stately atmosphere.

The Drawing Room located in the lobby lounge is the perfect place to have your afternoon tea. A selection of premium coffee and tea is served along with light fare like pastries and cakes. Zuma (not owned or operated by St. Regis Bangkok) serves Japanese cuisine in a contemporary setting while JoJo offers Italian cuisines in a chic atmosphere. While café style breakfast is served in the morning, for lunch the fare becomes rustic style. And during night, this restaurant transforms into one of the most stylish restaurants in town.

Pool/Spa/Activities: The swimming pool of St. Regis Bangkok was located on the 15th floor and overlooked the Royal Bangkok Sports Club’s golf course. The pool bar served light fare along with smoothies and mocktails. An exercise room offered state-of-the-art equipment.

The Elemis Spa was also located on the 15th floor and offered a number of treatments. However, the changing room area was too small to the point there were not enough lockers available. For e.g. if you wanted to use the facilities you had to leave your clothes and personal items (room key, cell phone, money etc.) out in the open or leave them in your room. And this would make it quite hard to get back into your room if you leave your key there!

Check-Out: Check out at St. Regis Bangkok was quick, professional and simple. The staff really went that extra mile to make us feel as if we were valued customers.

Overall Impression: This luxury hotel in Bangkok sure had its priorities in the right places and easily gets a strong Bombastic rating from us!
