Corinithia Hotel – London, UK: The Corinithia Hotel London is a luxurious five star hotel near The Embankment in London. Part of the Corinithia Hotel chain founded by the Pisani family of Malta, this hotel is located just moments away from Trafalgar Square, Westminster and Covent Garden.

The Corinithia Hotel is housed in an 1885 Victorian building which was earlier the home of the Victorian Metropole Hotel. During World War II, this building was requisitioned by the government to house its various departments. This hotel offers 294 sumptuously appointed guestrooms. The Royal Suite, the largest in London, measures a whopping 5059 square feet. This hotel does not have any restrictions on check-in and check-out times.

We did not stay at Corinithia as we were here just for dinner. But, from what little we saw of this hotel, it certainly deserves a mention on our site. The lobby of this hotel was simply put, breathtaking. It featured a gorgeous Full Moon Baccarat chandelier composed of 1,001 crystal baubles. High ceilings, brass fittings and fresh flowers coupled with banquets in caramel leather make this an elegant yet smart hotel. The ballroom has a gorgeous molding on the ceiling which was restored during the hotel’s renovation.

The Corinithia is the first ever hotel in London to have a Harrods store located inside it. This hotel has a number of stylish dining options, The Massimo Restaurant and Oyster Bar, The Northall, Bassoon and the Lobby Lounge. While the Massimo offers Mediterranean cuisine, the Northall serves the best of British cuisine. The Bassoon Piano Bar is famous for its cocktails and the seven meter long grand piano that doubles up as the bar. The Lobby Lounge on the other hand offers all-day dining. The lounge also offers the services of a trained tea-sommelier.

The Corinithia also offers a revolutionary spa named ESPA Life. Spread over four floors, this spa is equipped with a private spa suite, treatment pods, swimming pool, amphitheatre sauna, steam room and a state-of-the-art gym.

We will not be rating this hotel since we did not stay here. However, the Corinithia Hotel London is definitely a hotel on our must-visit list the next time we are in London.
