Cocoon Sushi Restaurant: London certainly isn’t the first place you think of when you dream about delicious sushi and fresh from the sea sashimi, but you’d be surprised at the number of sushi bars that are dotted around the city. Some are good, some are bad, and some are simply excellent. The Cocoon tends to fall in the last category.

The Cocoon is a sushi restaurant for the hip and trendy set. When we arrived, the place was vibrant with all sorts of diners, from young couples on a dinner date to in-the-know businessmen. Despite the crowd, we were immediately given a table and proceeded to order our evening’s fill of sushi. I was pleasantly surprised at the rather affordable prices that were being offered on menu, especially compared to Nobu (another good sushi restaurant!). Service was quick, attentive and consistent.

Our food arrived, and it was a joy to dine in the restaurant’s uniquely energetic yet conducive to conversation atmosphere. This made the entire experience so much more worthwhile, and I’d have to say that this was what finally made me decide to give Cocoon a Bombastic rating.
