Bubby's - New York: Killer pancakes, huge omelets, fresh squeezed orange juice, local New York charm all in a neighborhood diner can be found at Bubbly's located at 120 Hudson.

We were looking for a place that had a great breakfast and was not a tourist trap. Courtney, a concierge at the Four Seasons Hotel recommended, Bubby's. His recommendation was perfect.

Bubby's is definitely a restaurant catering to locals. Located away from the touristy areas it seemed a bit out of the way, but after a bite of the homemade, sour cream pancakes with fresh strawberries, I knew it was worth the taxi ride. The portions are huge and the food, coffee and juice were remarkably fresh.

Service was good but not great. The hostess made us feel welcome however, the waiter did not do much more than take our order. Regardless, the overall experience was great.

Bubby's was just what we were looking for, a great place for breakfast that let us see where the locals dine and at the same time offer a large variety of tasty items. Whether you are a foodie or just want a great breakfast that will keep you going through a busy New York day then hail a cab and head to Bubby's.
