Farm at Carneros Inn, Napa, CA - On our jaunt in Napa, we decided visit the Farm at Carneros Inn for a meal. Chef Ryan Jette’s famous cuisine that complements the different selection of wines offered at the Farm at Carneros Inn was much famed for its flavors and textures and use of all the local produce of Napa. Considered as one of the best restaurants in Napa to have a meal at, the Farm at Carneros Inn had our taste buds peaked with interest.

The First Impression: The restaurant had a stylish elegance about it that caught our attention straight away. With cozy corners and waiting areas and options to both dine in or lounge outside in a closed-roof area, the Farm at Carneros Inn offered its guests a unique experience to enjoy their meal. The place was beautifully decorated and visualized, creating a good first impression.
Décor and Ambience: The décor was very elegantly done. The inside eating area was done in warm soft colors enhanced by soft pinkish top-lighting. The tables were well laid and accented by black comfortable seats. There was a beautiful brick-walled fireplace warming the place up and setting off the amazing wine display at hand. The waiting area was cozy and offered plush and comfortable inky-blue sofas for the guests to sink into. Farm at Carneros Inn also offered an outside sitting area that had comfortable sofas and gleaming granite tables. The outside area too housed the fireplace and also had a great bar that offered a variety of different options for drinks. The walls were all enhanced with interesting prints and the flower arrangements set all around gave an aura of elegance and softness to the Farm at Carneros Inn.
The Food: The food was a delight from the first bite. The famed cuisine lived up to its expectation and each dish that was brought to us was cooked perfectly. The menu changed seasonally and offered the best of all the local food at Napa that went along with the different wine the restaurant housed. The flavors and textures were perfect.
We started with the Crudo of Hamachi with seaweed salad, daikon sprouts and orange-ginger marinade. The starter had us wanting more out of the evening. It was completely delicious and a great way to start our evening. I had the Liberty Farm duck breast and confit leg with toasted couscous, apricot puree, charred farm spring onion, celery and aromatic duck jus for my main course and it was just perfect. Tender in texture and savory in taste, it was everything a main course should be. My partner ordered the Duo of Prime Beef, seared filet mignon, braised short rib, potato puree, asparagus, royal trumpet mushrooms and sauce bordelaise. Though it was a bit pricey, the quality of food and its presentation made it completely worth the price. We ordered a great dessert of French apple tart with orange confit, cinnamon sauce, pecan brittle and maple ginger ice cream. We also ordered the chocolate coffee mousse parfait and coconut sorbet. Both were delicious, however, the apple tart was our favorite of the two.
The Farm at Carneros Inn also offered a very extensive wine list with the bulk of it made up of local Napa and Californian wines.
The Service: The service at the Farm at Carneros was exemplary. We had Shelley as our waitress. She was stellar in her service and made us feel not only welcomed but as if we were her only table she had that night without ever being intrusive.
The Calculated Impression: Our experience at the Farm at Carneros Inn was completely great. The ambience and the quality of food easily made it the best restaurant in Napa from our experience. Our rating for the
What I liked: The amazing quality of food, the great ambience and service and the extensive wine-list.
What I didn’t like: Some of the dishes were a little too pricey though the food was completely worth it.
