Four Seasons - San Francisco: The Canadian-owned Four Seasons chain of luxury hotels is regarded as one of the best hotel chains in the world. Operating in more than 30 countries with more than 70 locations, the Four Seasons is a behemoth of the luxury hotel industry. Knowing this makes one feel that he or she will have a fabulous time spending the night at the Four Seasons, but for some reason I felt that I’ve had better.

Without a doubt, the Four Seasons in San Francisco looks great, just like all the other Four Seasons, and just like all of them, their service was at par with Four Seasons standards. Although this was a pleasant perk, nothing about the hotel really made an impression on me.

The room we stayed in was mediocre at best. It actually felt like all the other Four Seasons we checked in before. This consistency may prove to be a strength, but if you’re looking for something different you might want to look elsewhere.

Overall, I was unimpressed with the Four Seasons in San Francisco. It simply didn’t have enough pizzaz, charm or quirk to set it apart from all the other luxury hotels in the world. Sure it was nice, but it really wasn’t different at all. I’m giving this a rating of Somewhere Between Bombastic and Not.
