Hotel Za Za - Houston, TX

Chic and Trendy, but Service that Lacked, Lacked, Lacked

Hotel ZaZa - Houston, TX: A chic and trendy hotel, Hotel ZaZa promises to combine comfort and convenience. Nestled within the Arts District (or the Museum District) and less than a mile away from Texas Medical Center, Reliant Park and Downtown Houston, Hotel ZaZa Houston offers free shuttle services to the Galleria Mall, which is about 6 miles away. With features such as a full-service spa with ten treatment rooms and an attached café, a fitness center, an outdoor pool, business centers, wireless Internet access and 24-hour room service, the hotel has a lot of potential. During our stay, we chose to get the Fantastico Suite - which spacious to a fault. We feel a lot of extra space is wasted in the room’s layout. For example, the coffee table and couch is about 5 steps away from the bar, and about 20 steps away from the bed, with nothing in-between. Though the room was decadent, and the space issue can be ignored, what cannot be overlooked though is the staff. From the moment we stepped up to the front desk, we were met with attitude. Chic and classy it may be, but apparently Hotel ZaZa Houston is somewhere you go to, to be seen… not for the service.

Overall, Hotel ZaZa Houston is a nice place to stay, very classy and upscale. We could give it the highest rating for that alone, but the awful service brings it down to an Almost Bombastic rating. Even then, it barely makes the cut as Almost Bombastic. The service really was that bad.
