The Mandarin Bar is the latest addition to the Vegas Strip for a night out in town. This 82 seat bar is surrounded on three sides by floor to ceiling windows. The swanky interior is done up in dark tones that go well with the plush furnishings. A double height wall of liquor bottles is located on one side of the bar. The bar also offers a VIP section with a sliding partition and separate service.

The maître d’ greeted us warmly when we entered the Mandarin Bar. Live jazz music was playing in the background. We were offered the drink menu as soon as we were comfortably seated. The menu offered some creative snacks and an extensive list of cocktails and premium wines. The mixologist at the bar was quite knowledgeable and upon our request created a couple of customized cocktails in a jiffy.

Some of the popular cocktails at the Mandarin Bar are The Golden Leaf or The Mandarin Martini made of Hendrick’s, Aperol, muddled mandarin, pineapple, fresh lime juice and simple syrup; the Champagne Mojito made of Appleton Estate, simple syrup, fresh lime juice, mint leaves, Domaine de Canton and dashes of Angostura bitters sparkling wine and the Eastern Drop. The Eastern Drop is made of Belvedere Citrus, lemongrass simple syrup, St. Germain Elderflower, fresh lemon juice, fresh pineapple juice and a dash of egg whites.

Service at the Mandarin Bar was fantastic and flawless. The bartenders not only did a great job of waiting on us, they also introduced us to a variety of tequilas, whiskeys and gin that we had not encountered in our previous travels.

The Mandarin bar is stylish, classy and never too busy. More than a bar to be “seen”, this bar is all about enjoying yourself with your friends. Overall, the Mandarin is the best bar in Las Vegas and gets a Bombastic rating from us.

What I liked: The variety of creative cocktails and snacks

What I didn’t like: Nothing much
