The lobby of Hotel Palomar was quite spacious and comfortable. Our check-in process was quick and we were shown to our Spa Suite without any delay.

Our suite featured a separate living room, bedroom and bathroom. The living room was large and was equipped with a work desk, sofa and adequate closet space. The bed was large and comfortable and the linens were plush. A fully stocked mini bar, wireless internet and LCD TV were the other amenities. The bathroom featured a spa tub, bath robes and a back-lit makeup mirror. The only drawback, if any, was the not so awesome view from the living room.

The hotel’s in-room dining menu was available round the clock. The housekeeping service kept our suite clean and spotless at all times. A complimentary overnight shoeshine and morning coffee and tea bar were also on offer. A wine hour was also hosted in the hotel's living room during evenings.

Hotel Palomar’s BLVD 16 is one of the hottest dining destinations in LA. This restaurant serves Californian Fresh Cuisine in a contemporary setting. Chef Simon Dolinky uses locally grown produce, sustainable seafood and naturally raised meats in his menu. An extensive wine menu is also available at BLVD 16.

The pool at Hotel Palomar is 40 feet long and is located past the living room lobby. Though this pool doesn’t have much of a view, it is surrounded by chaise lounges. Pool side refreshment is provided by BLVD 16. The fitness center located on the 6th floor offers state-of-the-art fitness equipment. Spa services are available in the guest room itself.

Hotel Palomar offers a 24-hour business center. In addition, 5,000 square feet of event space is also available. Concierge and personal assistant services are also on offer.

Our check-out process was just as quick and efficient as our check-in.

Overall, Hotel Palomar is a comfortable and trendy hotel in a good central location. The rates were pretty reasonable considering the good service and the amenities provided. While Hotel Palomar is by no means a Peninsula Hotel, it is definitely worth its price. Bombastic!
