KLM - Amsterdam (AMS) to Kuwait (KWI) - Flight KL0457
KLM - Amsterdam to Kuwait - Flight KL0457 - Upon arrival into Amsterdam from Detroit we checked into the Mercur Hotel located right in the Amsterdam Airport. This allowed us a chance to take a long nap, a hot shower and get refreshed for our next leg of the flight. Shortly after we settled into business-class for our flight from Amsterdam (AMS) to Kuwait (KWI) (find out the best hotels and restaurants in Kuwait) we were offered a variety of drinks. We selected the Champagne and pleasantly surprised to see it was a higher quality than we had on our earlier Northwest flight from Detroit.
Dinner selection consisted of king prawn risotto, beef tenderloin or chicken Parmesan. I had the seafood risotto and was impressed with the presentation, as well as the taste of the risotto and the quality and freshness of the prawns... They tasted like they were fresh from the sea.
Desert brought us the best tiramisu I think I have ever had, in the air or on the ground; and complimented with a decent port. After dinner we had the cognac but were disappointed as it did not even reach the level of average.
The chairs were the updated version used on many of the Emirate long haul flights. They reclined almost flat for a very comfortable and relaxing flight.
Service throughout the flight from Amsterdam to Kuwait was pleasant and professional and during a night flight you really can't ask for much more.
Would I fly KLM from Amsterdam to Kuwait again? Yes, even though it did not reach the level of Bombastic, it was still a very good flight.
