Air China First Class Domestic Lounge – Beijing, China
Located in Terminal Three - Peace and Quiet, But Not Much Else
Air China First Class Domestic Lounge - Beijing, China Located in terminal 3 on the second floor overlooking the lower level, Air China First Class Domestic Lounge in Beijing was not at all impressive. The overall feel of the lounge was cheap and dirty. It surely did not feel like a first class lounge let alone a business class of a major carrier like Air China. I guess compared to a lot of American carriers, I should have been happy that I could use the lounge when flying domestically. Perhaps the best thing this first class lounge had to offer was peace and quiet away from the crowds below. They also had a first class security line prior to getting to the lounge and if you can't find it, the numerous guards and staff are all willing to help, based on my experience. There is one small and cramped shower room in the lounge but it smelled so bad that even after a long overnight flight from Abu Dhabi, I couldn't bring myself to using the shower. On top of that, the lounge attendant told us that we had to let the water run for ten minutes before getting hot water. The thought of standing in there waiting that long in that tiny and smelly room was enough to make me forget about showering.
Other facilities in the lounge include four sleeping rooms (which did not look hospitable), a few computers, and free Wi-Fi access. Food options in the lounge were quite limited. When we were there, we could only choose from a few sandwiches and cups of noodle. Although it appeared they were going to set something up for lunch, but by the time we left for our 1:00 PM flight, there still was not any other food set up.
Overall, my rating for Air China First Class Domestic Lounge in Beijing is Between Bombastic and Not, mainly because it was a quiet escape and for no other reason.
