Cathay Pacific - The Pier Lounge - Hong Kong
Upscale yet comfortable
The Cathay Pacific Pier Lounge at the Hong Kong International Airport is located on Level 5 near the departure gates 62 to 66. The first class and business class lounges of the Pier take up more than 3900 square meters of space. The Cathay Pacific first class lounge is accessible to first class passengers, diamond members of The Marco Polo Club and OneWorld Emerald members. The first class Cathay Pacific Lounge was done up nicely in white marble and wood. This lounge featured six Day-Break rooms that offer some much needed privacy and allow you to sit back and relax in a Balzac armchair. The personal living spaces offered work areas with enough elbow space. Shower suites were also available. The quiet atmosphere of this lounge was accentuated by the comfortable dark furniture.
The Haven offered buffet dining while The Short Bar served a full range of beverages. The buffet had a good variety of food. However, I concentrated on the dim sum and dumplings. Though they were not the best I’ve had till date, they were still very tasty. Also, the wait staff did table service for drinks. The Cathay Pacific Lounge is open daily from 6:00 am to 11:30 pm.
All in all, this lounge is everything you would want from a first class lounge, peaceful and quiet with ample, comfortable seating and of course, free Wi-Fi. Our rating for the first class Pier Lounge of Cathay Pacific at Hong Kong International Airport is Bombastic.
