Budget Car Rental - Detroit
Mass confusion and total disorganization was the scene during my first visit to Budget Car Rental at Detroit Metro Airport. Once I finally made it to the counter, the process was quick and efficient and within a few minutes, I had the paperwork and location to my car. As I walked up to spot 604 someone was getting into my car. Huh? I thought it was mine? No, he said, the same thing just happened to him, as he got to his car, someone else was getting in it.

So back to the chaos inside. My agent was already with someone else but still allowed me to "cut" in and get it straighted around. Her frustration was evident; "it's been happening all day" she said, but to me she was kind and courteous.

After a short wait, they found a car for me and this time it was all mine!

Returning the car was just a matter of pulling up, getting out and waiting mere seconds for an agent to do a quick check over and give me my receipt. Ah, its so nice when it all goes as it should.

My second trip to Budget Car Rental was chaos free. When I walked in I had the place to myself yet the one agent wanted me to wait for another agent to come. I'm not sure what she was working on that was so busy but eventually it must have dawned on her it was just me and her (I'm not sure where all the other agents disappeared to) so she waited on me.

Once again, returning the car was a breeze. The highlight this time was the bus drive who took me to the terminal. A beautifully charming young lady who not only helped me with numerous bags but actually pulled the bus up to where I had dropped them off when I came to return the car.

If everyone at Budget were as genuine and kind as she was, Budget Car Rental would rate as Bombastic in my eyes..
