World Phone from Mobal

World Phone from Mobal I just got a World Phone from Mobal and will be testing it out on my trip to France. It was $49.00 and you only pay for airtime; no contracts, no monthly fees and you can get both incoming and outgoing calls as well as text messages. I'll let you know how it works. - August 30, 2006 I am undecided about the phone so far. I tried it as soon as I arrived at CDG in Paris but after repeated attempts I was not able to place a call. However, when I was in Avignon and Nice' and when I returned to Paris the phone worked great. I was in contact with Mobal Customer Service (and let me say, their customer service is bombastic) and they think it all comes down to how I was dialing the phone. I'm not sure if I agree but I have not had the opportunity to try again but will do so on my trip to Italy in October. Stay tuned for more information. September 18, 2006. After two weeks in Italy (Florence, Rome and Venice) I have decided that the having the World Phone from Mobal is the only way to go. Being able to send and receive a call or text message whenever I needed and knowing that people could get a hold of me whenever they needed was so convenient and so reassuring that I will not travel without it again. I highly, highly recommend the World Phone from Mobal, the $49.00 is definitely money well spent. November 4, 2006 ...
